I love fresh seafood, and I can think of no better place to enjoy some catch of the day than Lee Be Fish Company on Marco Island. The small, walk up restaurant is in The Shoppes of Olde Marco at 350 Royal Palm Drive. They serve only fresh fish caught that day on their own commercial boats on Marco Island. It is the ideal place to stop for a fresh and tasty meal.
My family and I ordered lunch from Lee Be Fish Company on December 29, 2022. We were not disappointed. The catch of the day was my favorite – Mahi Mahi. My wife and I ordered the platter served “Island Style” over black beans and rice, cilantro, onions, sour cream, and salsa. A little fresh squeezed lime juice made this the perfect and satisfying meal. Elliott ordered his fish fried with a side of French Fries, and it was equally delicious. Evan enjoyed a taco. He said it was the best fish taco he ever ate.
Lee Be Fish Company is a cash only business – so be prepared. They also offer limited seating both inside and on the adjacent patio. You may order their fish on a platter “Island Style”, in a basket with one side, on a sandwich with one side, or on a taco with one side. It is perfect however you choose to enjoy their fresh catch of the day. Prices are reasonable, and you will pay far less than anywhere else on the Island serving fresh caught fish. My platter was $18.95, and it was a bargain. Their hours are 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. You may also buy fresh fish by the pound at their cold case.
