Nice to meet you! My name is Eric.

Welcome to Roam with Dad. I am a father, husband, practicing lawyer, and US Navy Veteran (1991 – 1996), who has a passion for travel. As someone who enjoys just about any destination, I will never pass up an opportunity for a new adventure whether at home in the United States or abroad. I enjoy trips to explore ancient sites, experience large cities, or relax on a gorgeous tropical beach. Most importantly, I love traveling with my wife and two sons – Evan (15) and Elliott (8).

Memories and experiences are the most valuable things I can give my family. Travel opens my sons’ eyes to other cultures where they can experience, learn from, and appreciate different foods, religions, languages, music, and history. To me, travel allows my kids to see for themselves the places they learn about in school. The best lesson I learned from my time in the Navy is that the world is a huge place, with endless opportunities to explore oneself.

Sharing my travel adventures with my family is very special to me. I am grateful for the opportunity to take them along wherever I go. I started this blog to share my travel experiences, tips, and reviews to help make your travel planning easier, your trips more affordable, and your time more enjoyable.

Here, I will share photos, experiences, and recommendations from my trips abroad and around the United States. I am very new to blogging. So, if you have any constructive feedback or useful advice to improve this site, please leave a comment for me. I am also happy to respond to any questions you have. It’s my hope to create a meaningful dialogue where we can share experiences together.

Thank you. I’m heading to Quito next week with my brother. I noticed USF in your username. Is this referring to the University of San Francisco? I obtained by undergraduate degree from that school.

Thank you. I had to postpone our trip to November because we had a death in the family. I’m going to Louisiana today, and then Quito, Ecuador for a few days to get away. I’m looking forward to visiting Hanoi, and happy we’re going when the weather is cooler and not as rainy. 😁

  7. Great articles and awesome photos. Wish you all many more amazing travels in the future. All the best Amela.
